You will have the opportunity to attend events all year, fundraise for the amazing cause, and top it off by attending the 30 hour marathon in March. The 30-hour marathon is something truly life-changing and something you simply can not miss! (Marathon Link) As a dancer, you will also be put on a team with two Dancer Captains, who will help you fundraise and support you throughout the year. No dancing experience is required or needed.
Leaders
There are lots of great leadership positions ranging from Dancer Captains- who lead an entire team throughout the entire year, to committee members and coordinators- who are leaders on 12 of UMDM’s committees that are operate all aspects of the organization, to Reps- who lead whole pods of nearly one-hundred dancers, to Morale Captains- who are responsible for keeping all the dancers pumped up throughout the marathon, teaching the linedance, and showcasing their skills on stage.
Moralers
Moralers help the dancers stay energized and on their feet during the 30 hour marathon, while getting to experience the amazing aspects of the Marathon! Moralers get an aspect of the marathon experience, but their primary goal is to keep the dancers going throughout the amazing event.
Volunteers
Volunteers help out at the actual marathon with a number of tasks like crew, registration, set-up, and more! It is a great way to get volunteer and community service hours in a fun and interactive way. We also cater to large groups of corporate and community service teams and groups.
