Very unusual and good look.Typing feels really nice and enjoyable.Of the cons: the keyboard takes up a lot of extra space for basically useless buttons.

I love this keyboard. Loud clicky keys, feels like some old 80s keyboard. Wish it had a numeric keypad, but other than that it's a great keyboard. Heavy and sturdy, not cheap flimsy plastic.

The build is all plastic that gives a retro but solid vibe, and the keyboard feels and sounds amazing, otherworldy dare I say... If you like the sound of old keyboards and their feeling you won't be disappointed. I'm currently typing on it and it's a one way trip to the eighties... Good times. Anyways, the keyboard really sounds amazing, most sound tests were really not on point, the closest is LTT's sound test on their LABS website on the product review. The keyboard is surprisingly lightweight (but doesn't feel cheap at >1kg) compared to an epomaker one that's a 65%, this one is almost 2 times larger and yet still weighs what feels like 2 times less. I recommend you check all the models before buying though, as there are some new C64 and famicon ones that are really incredible. Doesn't come with a keycap/switch puller but is hot swappable. Finally, the LED in the corner feels tastefully old school, not like other keyboards with "agressive" very bright LEDs. Only thing that disappointed me is the lack of feets to adjust the writing position, I like a pretty flat one so that's OK for me but might be a dealbreaker for you.If you like old school keyboards, this is pretty much for you, especially if you like the 'typewriter' type of sound with cliky switches.

Before purchasing this keyboard, be sure you've familiarized yourself with the different switches available on the market. When coming from a rubber dome keyboard (all cheap keyboards on the market), the feeling will be different. This keyboard uses Kailh Box White switches, and coming from their Brown switches, the difference is immediately noticeable. The click can be felt and is audible, in a very pleasant manner, making it a delight to type on. The entire keyboard feels well constructed, sturdy and stable. The keys feel less spongey than my previous Sharkoon Skiller Mech SKG3, with the aforementioned brown switches. Being a heavy typer, I tend to bottom out my keys. Doing so makes the keyboard even louder, but it should be noted that the sound for bottoming out the stroke isn't unpleasantly loud, and the switches tend to prevent me from doing so in a better way than the brown switches did. Don't use in an environment where other people tend to work. The keyboard itself is in the ANSI format, without a numpad. As a Dutch person working in an international environment, this is ideal. There is no reason to worry whether you're sent the keyboard shown in the image, or a version with a local layout instead. To QWERTZ or AZERTY users, or those who would prefer another type of European layout, this may be an issue though. What you see is what you get.8Bit Do's software is to be downloaded from their website separately, which will allow users to set up macros for the large A and B button. These buttons, unfortunately, don't remotely feel like the A/B buttons of an original NES controller, but they look great.I very much like the on-keyboard switch, allowing me to toggle between a bluetooth and 2.4 gHz connection. As this effectively prevents me from having to use a KVM switch, when switching from my main PC to a laptop. The 2.4 gHz receiver can be stored securely in the keyboard itself. The only thing missing are dedicated media keys. These might be mappable via the downloadable software. A good thing about this suite is that any changes configured are stored on the keyboard's memory, allowing the softare to be uninstalled, rather than it running as a permanent background process. Also, the keyboard doesn't come with any form of transport pouch or case. Which I would have welcomed.

I first received a pre-opened product. And its Bluetooth and wireless both were not working. I was planning to cancel my plan to buy this product. This was my first product return on Amazon ever. After reading so many positive reviews, ended up asking for a replacement. Replacement came in couple of days.Replacement Product Review: One of the best mechanical keyboards. The feel is amazing, the sound is fantastic, and all types of connections and how seamlessly you can switch among them are smooth. I feel like I want to work on my PC longer, just so I can smash these keys more. (KLICK-KLACKing this review as well.) Thanks for reading.

Love this keyboard. Has both wireless dongle and BT connection types so I can use it on multiple devices quickly and easily. Love the feel and the sound the keys make, very satisfying when typing. Battery lasts quite a long time in my experience with frequent sporadic use. A little pricey but worth it in my opinion. Get it on sale if you can!

It sounds good. I don't know why but it sounds good, it works well, it coonects to everything, it's just a thing of beauty. Looking forward to get the C64 version also when I will available for shipping to Romania.

genuinely adore this device. Its so satisfying, the clicky nature, the red led, how cool the analogue switches are. If you want a retro keyboard that is actually good, this is the device for you.

8bitdo is known for their wireless controllers and it seems like they've decided to expand into mechanical keyboards. This is a great first attempt by them! I have a couple mechanical keyboards so I'm not an expert by any means, but I'll try to make it make sense for newbies.I have a Redragon K556 Pro that I used to type on before I got this and 8bitdo's has blown that out of the water.Battery life:The battery life is fantastic. I can't get my redragon to last more than a couple days even with turning off the keyboard at the end of the day. I haven't had to charge the battery yet for 8bitdo's and I started using it around early November 2023. Can't remember if it was bluetooth or 2.4 so I'll update when I check next time I'm in the office. The switches:I swapped out the switches in my Redragon for speed silvers which I do love, but I also love the switches on the 8bitdo keyboard. If you're a newbie to mechanical keyboards, the switches they use on 8bitdo's are the Kailh White switches which aren't super noisy, but aren't linear either. They're tactile. They're louder than speed silvers but still type nicely and aren't as loud as cherry blue switches. The clickiness volume sounds like a normal keyboard so your coworkers won't be super unhappy with you unless you're an angry typer like I am, lol. They sold me on the Kailh switches so if I ever decide to switch, that's what I'm using. The keycaps:I swapped out my keycaps on my Redragon which have a KCA profile. I wasn't super happy with them because I kept mistyping. I'm more of a Cherry girl. If I had to guess which keycap profile these were, these look a lot like DSA or XDA which are probably more my speed. They remind me of the XVX XDA profile keycaps actually (also sold on amazon), which are about same height as a normal keyboard's keycaps. That was smart because that makes this as close to a normal keyboard with the benefits of a mechanical keyboard. It's great for those who are thinking about swapping to a mechanical keyboard but also don't want to sink $$$ into one or wasting money trying to find the right keycap profiles for their typing style. The big red buttons:These are just so fun to use! It took me a second to figure out how to program them, but the instructions included were very helpful so I figured it out. They also weren't on fragile paper and I have it hiding under the buttons. It came with stickers too. I programmed my two to be Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V because they are my most used buttons and they work great when I remember to use them. My coworkers love to come over and mess with me by clicking them. These are wired, but the wire is long enough and unobtrusive. Was this worth it?:Absolutely 100% worth it. Mechanical keyboards get so costly. The fact that they made this keyboard $99.99 is extremely accessible when you consider that mechanical keyboards can cost hundreds. I hope to see a full sized version someday. No lie, I also wish they sold the keycaps because I absolutely love the retro aesthetic of this keyboard. It feels good and looks good so I would recommend this.
