What this does is very simple. It provides gentle but positive click stops at a variety of different angles. You can choose the following numbers of pictures per full rotation:4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 24, 36, 72Meaning that you can quickly re-align a camera to take multiple shots for a panorama. It is beautifully engineered and worth 5 stars because it is so well made. However; all this does is provide the click stops so the question to ask is do you need one or are there better ways to do the same thing. This works for me but it is a heavy (510g) extra accessory to carry round for what are really specialised shots. You will still also probably need a bracket to turn the camera on its side and the tripod and possibly a levelling attachment if you want to go that precise plus the tripod, camera, lenses and so on. Wie man es von Manfrotto gewohnt ist: Heavy Metal in Vollendung. Läuft sauber und geschmeidig, da wackelt auch bei Benutzung mit schwerem Gerät nichts. (MK-Panohead mit 7d und Sigma 2.8/17-50) Die Rastpunkte sind gut spürbar und die obere Ebene hat einen Freilauf um den Panohead auf den Startpunkt zu setzen, nachdem man die untere Ebene auf "0" eingestellt hat. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Der Trumm macht den Aufbau nicht leichter,aber das wusste ich vorher. Daher auch keine Abzüge.

Tut mir leid, aber ich kann die Euphorie der anderen Rezensenten nicht teilen. Für den Preis hätte ich da was anderes erwartet, aber nicht 90°-Schwenkwinkelrastungen die mal 88° bzw. mal 92° auf der Skala sind. Die anderen Schwenkwinkeleinstellungen sind mit ähnlichen "Homemade"- Toleranzen versehen. Klapprige Feststellschrauben und Beulen im Aluminiumkörper (stammen wahrscheinlich vom freien Fall im Produktionsprozess) haben mich ebenfalls zur Rücksendung umgestimmt.

Ho acquistato il prodotto perchè un ricondizionato Amazon Warehouse Deals giunto ad un prezzo ribassato di poco più di un terzo del prodotto nuovo, perchè un Manfrotto, perchè intendevo usarlo più come base per teste sostituibili di scarsa qualità, che per l'uso per cui è stata concepita. Il prodotto è giunto indistinguibile dal nuovo. I materiali sono di incredibile qualità, la manifattura è eccellente, con tutti i particolari estremamente curati sia nella lavorazione dei metalli, che nelle scritte e nelle verniciature. Non vi è un solo particolare che sembri insufficiente, tutto sovradimensionato, indistruttibile, curatissimo. Naturalmente questo influisce sul peso, i maniaci dell'ultraleggero siano avvertiti che il peso supera il mezzo chilo e si avvicina ai seicento grammi.Non ho sperimentato l'accessorio per l'uso per il quale è stato concepito, ma non dubito sarà più che adatto, solo mi chiedo se con i moderni software sia ancora indispensabile: i programmi per le panoramiche attuali riconoscono in automatico le sovrapposizioni e provvedono ad un montaggio perfetto, tutto via digitale. A questo punto un accessorio di tale tipo, del costo attualmente oscillante tra gli 85 ed i 170 EURO, può essere ancora utile? Io ritengo di sì: a chi ha un'attrezzatura di buon livello, può servire, oltre che allo scopo per cui è progettato, per avere una perfetta fluidità nelle panoramiche video, per smorzare in modo drammatico le vibrazioni in fase di scatto, come base di grande qualità su cui montare teste non perfette o troppo leggere, che verranno stabilizzate e godranno di un secondo movimento orizzontale di grande precisione. Per tutti gli altri sono invece soldi buttati.

Ich arbeite jetzt seit 10 Jahren mit dem Vorgängermodell (300 - ohne N), bei dem das Funktionsprinzip identisch ist. Er arbeitet immer noch 'saugend und schmatzend', hochpräzis wie am ersten Tag. Lediglich ein Mal musste der Kopf neu gefettet werden (kann man selbst machen - technische Zeichnungen für alle nicht-trivialen Manfrotto Produkte gibt es auf deren Website).Wenn man dabei das Innenleben betrachtet, sieht man auch, wie der Preis entsteht (z.B. durch Wälzlager statt billiger Gleitlager und Materialstärken, die auch mal einen kräftigen Schlag verzeihen). Zieht man dazu noch Manfrottos erstklassigen Service in Betracht (man kann z.B. heute noch jedes Einzelteil(chen) als Ersatzteil bestellen), dann halte ich den Preis für durchaus angemessen.

Dieser Panokopf ist ein muss für alle die 360° Panos basteln müssen, für andere eher zu teuer!Aber ich hab jetzt jahrelang ohne gearbeitet, es geht auch, aber dieser Kopf nimmt einem viel Arbeiten ab durch die durchdachte Rasterung!Und wenn man mal eine andere Linse drauf hat, dann steckt man einfach um!Echt klasse!!!!!
