We travel a lot and shoot a lot of reference photos for my wife's art. We can easily shoot 1,000-2,000 photos in a single day using out Nikon Z6ii. Our camera has a vertical grip that houses a pair of batteries. This battery pack can also hold a pair of the same EN-EL15 batteries and charge them at the same time. The batteries I tested seemed to charge quick enough to be full by the time I killed off the other pair in the camera.I like how it looks like a small point-and-shoot also. It fits easily into my camera bag in the place where my wall charger usually sits. It is quite heavy but so are any batteries. I tested it on my USB tester and it output right around 18w of power on its USB-C ports. This will charge a cell phone in a reasonably quick manner. It's not 'Quick' charging but it is faster than many batteries out there. The digital display is nice for knowing how my capacity you have remaining. Sadly, it only uses bars to show charge of the batteries being charged. I feel like it would be nice if the percentage numbers rotated through the internal and the batteries being charged. This is not a deal breaker, of course.

I am a semi-pro photographer with Nikon D750, D850 and Z8 cameras. Each use a variant of EN-EL15a/b/c batteries. My cameras came with the standard Nikon MH-25a wall charger which limits use to power outlets to charge camera batteries at home. The llano dual battery fast charger with the built-in 12400mAh power bank is a game changer. It combines 3 items into 1. No need for USB cable or external power bank with other portable charging cradles. To start with this charger is very cute. It looks lie an oversized point and shoot camera or boxy mirrorless camera. It is heavy from the 12400mAh onboard battery. The battery cover even looks like a double version of the Nikon camera grip battery covers. The 2 batteries compartments are spring loaded and pushes down to make electrical contact. The button on the front turns the charger on to see the power level of the charger and show 2 status bars of the 2 charging batteries. One battery also work in either battery compartment. For my Z8, I use a battery grip that uses 2 EN-EL15c batteries in tandem. For most long shooting sessions, I have to take out the tandem battery caddy from the battery grip and and swap both batteries out at the same time.Having this all in one EN-EL15 charger enables fast battery swaps for my Z8. The other benefit is the batteries stay within the charger and fully self contained without dangling USB cable and cradle. Both batteries appear to charge simultaneously. The power % shows the charge remaining in the charger itself and not the batteries power percentages. There is not numeric display of the battery percentage other than the relative charge bars. It would have been ideal to have battery percentages too. When charging the charger using a USB C cable, the charger shows a green charging icon. However, I found a problem charging 2 batteries. When 1 finishes, it seems to stop charging of the other battery too. Checking the battery status in my camera, one is 100% while the other is only 92% charged. When I placed both batteries into the charger again, the both charge for for 30 seconds, but yet again the 2nd battery stops charging before reaching 100%. But if I insert the 2nd battery alone back into the charger, it will charge to 100%. This is a major issue if I am not ensured to have 2 fully charged batteries from dual charging.I'll fully cycle the charger itself and then run further test cases to ensure if this problem dual charging completeness problem persists ord are there circuitry issues or firmware logic issues.

It works as intended, charges batteries well, and holds a charge well.

I've made my living as a working pro photographer for 36 years. It is amazing how a well-designed device like this charger can make a significant difference in my ability to produce - especially in remote locations. I do a lot of field work where my only charger is a solar panel. This can be great if you have the time, but a battery box like this that charge batteries in your gear bag while you carry it is worth a ton. I'm gearing up for a trip to Borneo and space is limited - but this llano charger is coming along.Imagine you are shooting forest elephants after hiking in the jungle for 6 hours. You shoot till your battery needs a change. Pop a fully charged out of the llano, put in the old one - and it now charging while you work. No USB cords, no extra power banks - just easy and simple. The charging case fits snugly in the gear backpack and saves me a lot of hassle. If I had one criticism it would be the battery is held in place by the door. This works just fine generally, but if you need to remove one battery - you have to open the door and tilt the box and both batteries slide out. A tab lock keeping the batteries in place while the door is open would be a nice feature. This is not enough to knock even half a star - but it would be an improvement in an otherwise excellent product. The unit is new and I have not fully broken it in, but if feels well-constructed and durable. Recommended!

As a photographer and videographer, I’m always on the move, and the last thing I need is a dead battery ruining a perfect shot. Enter the Llano EN-EL15 Dual Battery Fast Charger with Built-in 12400mAh Pack—a game-changer for anyone who relies on their Nikon Z6ii or similar cameras. What I Love:✅ Super Fast Charging – This thing charges two EN-EL15 batteries in just three hours, compared to the six-hour wait time with my old charger. I don’t have time to babysit batteries all day, and now, I don’t have to.✅ Built-in 12400mAh Battery – I underestimated how useful this feature would be! Even if I'm out in the field with no outlets nearby, I can top off my batteries right from the charger itself. It’s basically a portable power bank for my camera gear.✅ Instant Battery Level Display – No more guessing! Pop in a battery, and the digital display immediately tells you its charge level. A simple but incredibly useful feature.✅ Doubles as a Storage Case – It holds two batteries securely with a magnetic lid, protecting them from dust and accidental drops. I love gear that multitasks! One Surprise:📏 Larger Than Expected – The photos made it look a bit more compact, but considering the built-in battery, I really should have seen this coming. That said, it still fits in my camera bag, so no complaints.Final Verdict:If you shoot long days or travel often, this is a must-have. It keeps my Nikon Z6ii powered up all day, whether I’m on a shoot, hiking in the mountains, or stuck in an airport. Reliable, well-designed, and worth every penny. Don’t think twice—just get it!
