So far my experience using this product has been a good one. Once you get accustomed to using this product the proper way, you'll definitely be satisfied. Most negative comments come from those who Most likely use the wrong technique or just don't understand the process.

I would have given a 1 star because the bottom of the Reservoir was not glued on .BUT the company stepped up and is sending me a replacement. Amazon wanted me to send it back befor I got a replacement or refund.

I was using this when I got it about 1-3 times a day for about 2 weeks. Within the first week, there was a noticeable decline in the power of the motor. I'm not sure if this is because the motor is faulty or if the batteries were just drained that fast. It still works, just the high speed is now about what the low speed started at and the low speed struggles to even pump water out at all (I always use the high speed anyway). I haven't tried replacing the batteries yet because I wanted to get an idea how long they last. 2 months (with decreased usage to about 1-2 times per week) and it is still running though. If I had suggestions, they would be: emboss/engrave the measure on the tank, the ink wipes off just by holding it. Also add some kind of audible beep after a set amount of fluid is pumped (the half way mark) to indicate when to switch nostrils (my toothbrush does this and it is great). This would help because you can't see how full the tank is when it is running under your nose (even though I seem to have this knack for getting close incidentally, this is not skill just coincidence).Overall though, this is so much more effective than the squeeze bottle and I highly recommend it.

Disclaimer: I've only used it once so far so I can't speak to longevity.I've used Netipots before, and I'm familiar with the NeilMed brand for their saline sachets and squeezy bottles. This is one of those things on steroids. Running this guy through my sinuses feels like how a gutter must feel after getting all the leaves/pine needles cleared out. It was able to clear out something that even my Arm and Hammer saline spray couldn't!Only complaints so far: The battery door on mine was so difficult to remove that I ended up using a butter knife, causing plastic marring on my new toy (boo). Otherwise, it would have been nice if the nozzle wasn't fully vertical. Being directly under your nose when you release the Kraken means you're getting water and ick all over your hand and the device.

This is my third type of NeilMed irrigator (have purchased probably 10-15 over past 15 years). My favorite is the plug-in irrigator, but it is a big production and forget about trying to bring it if you need to travel. This product is a much better option in my opinion for traveling versus the bottle version (which is what I have been using). It is heavier and bulkier but it is also more effective and easier to clean/dry than the bottle. It is less substantial than the many irrigator machines I’ve had but not as basic as the bottle. I’ve only had it for a short time so I’m not able to speak to longevity.
